BIO
Jeff Robertson is a consummate craftsman and acoustic guitar scholar. Growing up in Bakersfield, California, and inspired by his father who played guitar and actually built a couple of guitars from parts, Jeff began playing in his early teens.
He moved to Las Vegas, dividing his time between playing and singing, and running a high-end tile and flooring business. At a jam in the mid-90’s he was handed a ’53 Martin D-18 to play, which opened his eyes and ears. That feeling of discovery stayed with him for the next decade.
In 2007 after moving to Bastrop, Texas, a downturn in business gave him some free time to build his first guitar. His goal was to get that ‘old’ sound of the vintage dreadnaughts. He then began exhaustive research on designs, methods and materials, and he incorporated his findings into his instruments, and his new career path began.
Jeff now builds his guitars in rural Smithville, Texas, where he lives with his wife Susana. Jeff's guitars are reaching the hands of many prominent bluegrass musicians and others around the country!
